I heard a similar driving one.
Jehovah cannot protect you in a car crash if you are exceeding the speed limit!
last week a sister in my new hall made the following comment,.
"a brother once told me that it is better to be wrong with the organization, than to be right and be on your own without the organization.".
wow.
I heard a similar driving one.

hi guys,.
i am so out of touch with tv shows and i have got a lot of catching up to do.. some-one suggested dexter and it was fantastic and what an ending.
really loved it.
All brilliant suggestions guys. Thankyou.
I was searching for 2 weeks for films or a series since Dexter and Homeland finished and apart from a film version of Great Expectations which isn't out yet there was nothing since Les Miserables.
I am certainly into Revolution already.
I love The Big Bang Theory. Season 6 has just started over here in UK.
The Newsroom has rave reviews so will definitely give that a go too.
Downton Abbey is good I agree. We seem to be lacking anything gritty or with suspense like Dexter and Homeland type shows over here unless I just haven't come across them.
I tend not to read fiction but I still enjoy a good book.
I am almost halfway through "Bad Science" by Ben Goldacre where he dismantles the dodgy science (bullsh*t) behind some of the great drug trials, court cases and missed opportunities of our time.
He slates "self apponted nutritionists" like Gillian McKeith exposing her sham "qualifications" and discusses amongst other things homeopathy trials and the placebo effect.
Totally fascinating book which will help you discover how to question every new "miracle break through in medicine"!
hello, so i have decided to da myself and will write a da letter to the body of elders.... do you have any ideas of what i can include in this letter or samples?...
i really want to make a huge impact with this letter.. i appreciate your help everyone....
I would say write it and vent. Pour out all your anger and frustrations then leave it a while. Do not send it until you have re-read and edited it and then after you have done that lock it away for a while and see how you feel in a few months.
You have nothing to lose by waiting by which time you will be in a better frame of mind to decide then whether to send it, burn it or just keep it a bit longer, but once it is sent, it cannot be un-sent.
Good Luck

Breaking Bad and Prison Break also sound good so will give both of those a go too so thank you BlindersOff1 and James Brown.
These should keep me out of mischief for quite a few hours.

just a quick question.
a forum owner has posted that they are willing to get litigious if material from their forum is copied.
in the light that members of that forum regularly post the same question verbatim in both forums ( including the site owner who has stated their copyright claims) i just wanted to understand what legal grounds we view posts.
I like memes and imagery as a quick way to make a point.

matthew 24:45-47. .
old light: jesus appointed rutherford and his associates over his belongings in 1919. verse 47. new light: jesus appointed rutherford and his associates over his domestics in 1919. verse 45. why the change?
what difference does it make?
I was shocked when this was first brought to my attention :
During the court hearing on October 11, legal counsel for the Watchtower Society, Rachel van Witsen, from Vincent Toole Solicitors (the WTS's in-house law firm located inside Bethel, Australia) made a statement on behalf of the Watchtower Society that:-
"The faithful and discreet slave is not a legal entity."
Vincent Toole Solicitors then went on to present arguments that the "faithful and discreet slave" do not exist as a "person" nor do they exist as an "unincorporated body" and nor do they exist as a "body" of Christians.
Literally Vincent Toole Solicitors were arguing that the "faithful and discreet slave" should be struck off the charge list because they simply do not exist. In one broad sweeping statement the Watchtower Society and their in-house legal team completely destroyed the entire fabric and structure of the faith of some 7 million Jehovah's Witnesses. What next happened goes beyond the wildest imaginings that any Jehovah's Witness could ever believe was possible.
Steven Unthank stood up, looked around the courtroom, and then actually defended the "faithful and discreet slave" and the beliefs and doctrinal teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses. No one else came to the defense of the FDS. Steven Unthank, as the current acting prosecutor, was the only person who defended them. Unthank then presented argument that the FDS was real and was that body of Jehovah's Witness Christians that had religious responsibility over the entire Christian congregation.
The Watchtower Society and Vincent Toole Solicitors then presented rebuttal argument that the "faithful and discreet slave" did not exist but were nothing more than a:-
"theological arrangement"
A massive gasp could be heard emanating from the gallery from amongst a group of Jehovah's Witnesses who had attended to watch the hearing. It is worth noting that Jehovah's Witnesses are taught that to deny the "faithful and discreet slave" is to deny the Christ and that those who deny the Christ are the antichrist.
The Watchtower Society and Vincent Toole Solicitors then turned on the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and denied that they existed or operated within Victoria and Australia. The magistrate did not accept this argument and, after seeking approval from Steven Unthank, adjourned all the court hearings for four weeks"...............................
The seriousness of the above can be summarised by the above statement that the entire fabric and belief structure that is the Wathtower Bible and Tract Society has now been publicly called into question by their own legal department.

I quite often wish I had taken note of websites and authors of work I kept in my computer scrapbook when I first started my exit so that I could credit it to them when re-posting it to help others but I wouldn't expect anything I write and post to be "mine" and would actually be quite thrilled and delighted if I did say something that others might use to help some-one in the future!
ok im looking for a specific religion and culture that has no flood story.
someone claimed that every religion/culture has a flood story.
i disagree but i want to have a reference..
personally i wouldn't trust the book any further than i could throw it, but it might be a good research tool to see if (a) those alledged cultures really to have the fable, or (B) that the WT twisted research to make it look like they do...
Me too because I love being able to confirm or deny any cited references they make with the aid of t'internet!!
WT must hate it.
